What You'll Do
- Prepare high-quality meals for residents and staff using standardized recipes and established food-service procedures.
- Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food preparation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area.
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, storage, and handling procedures.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate food inventory and storage practices.
- Work collaboratively with the Dining Services team to provide excellent service to our residents.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Full-time position
- Monday-Friday and
- Every other weekend

Qualifications
- Convey information to others in an audible, accurate and quick manner
- One year of experience with food service preparation, preferably institutional cooking experience is needed
- High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, lift, and move about in the work area and throughout the Home to accomplish tasks
- Express and exchange ideas via spoken word conveying information to others in an audible, accurate, and quick manner
- Perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
- Visual acuity to read, prepare, and analyze
- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force on occasions
- Subject to temperature changes, but is generally not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions as the work is predominantly inside
