Job description

MARC, Inc. of Manchester is looking for a Full-Time Marketing and Communications Specialist. The Marketing and Communications Specialist works closely with the Development Director to achieve annual goals set forth in the Fund Development Plan. The position consists of digital marketing, event planning, community outreach, maintaining the organization's website, curating social media content and other communication methods. The individual in this role will ensure that events and content are in accordance with not only MARC's mission statement and philosophy as well as with State and Federal mandated laws, policies and regulations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage MARC's social media platforms, website, and digital communication channels.
  • Create and distribute engaging content, including social media posts, newsletters, press releases, blogs, email campaigns, photography, and video.
  • Develop marketing materials and maintain consistent branding across all communications and events.
  • Support fundraising efforts through donor database management, gift processing, donor acknowledgments, reporting, and sponsorship solicitation.
  • Assist with the planning, promotion, and execution of fundraising events, Agency programs, and community initiatives.
  • Coordinate event logistics, volunteer engagement, promotional materials, and on-site event support.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, businesses, and local organizations.
  • Represent MARC at networking, advocacy, and community events to increase awareness of the organization's mission.
  • Track and analyze marketing performance metrics to support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with staff across departments to support communications, special projects, and agency-wide objectives.
  • Performs other duties as designated by the Development Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism, or three years' experience in marketing/communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Proven working experience in social media marketing and/or digital marketing.
  • Knowledge of graphic design.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act quickly and remain positive and calm in a crisis.
  • Ability to drive and have available a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to organize, be flexible, maintain a neat work area, and work independently.
  • Ability to learn new technology in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to complete all essential job duties, minimum qualifications and physical efforts with or without a disability.

  • Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and driving.
  • Ability to stand, sit, use a telephone and use a computer.
