Job description

Duties

  • Lead and oversee electrical installation, repair, and maintenance activities on industrial and commercial construction sites, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and electrical codes.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation and troubleshooting processes.
  • Perform high-voltage electrical wiring, low-voltage systems, and control wiring with precision, adhering to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
  • Diagnose electrical system issues using advanced diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical problems efficiently.
  • Install, test, and commission programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrical systems, and automation components to optimize operational performance.
  • Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards, and electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Mentor junior electricians by sharing knowledge of schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, hand tool usage, power tool operation, and best practices in electrical work.
