About the role

MAFM is building a roster of dependable janitorial professionals in San Jose to serve as floaters across our commercial sites. If you want flexible work and the ability to pick up shifts when you're available, this role is for you. You will be called in as needed to cover shifts, fill in for absences, and handle janitorial work at our client sites across the San Jose area.

What you will do

You will be cleaning and maintaining commercial office spaces to a high standard. Day-to-day work includes:

• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, toilets, urinals, and sinks
• Wiping down glass, mirrors, counters, tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces
• Dusting desks, shelves, and office equipment
• Sweeping and mopping hard floors
• Vacuuming carpeted areas
• Emptying trash and recycling and hauling to designated disposal areas
• Restocking paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and other consumables
• Maintaining cleanliness standards per each client's expectations
• Following all site-specific protocols, security procedures, and check-in requirements
• Reporting damage, maintenance issues, or supply shortages to your site lead

We need people who are dependable, responsive, and professional. You should:

• Be reachable and able to accept shifts on short notice
• Show up on time, every shift
• Bring a good attitude and positive energy to every site
• Present yourself professionally with a clean, well-groomed appearance and no visible tattoos
• Work independently and stay focused without being managed minute to minute
• Communicate clearly in English with site leads, clients, and coworkers
• Keep your personal phone put away during shifts (this is a high-trust environment serving enterprise clients)

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to job sites across the San Jose area
• Able to lift 30+ lbs and stay on your feet for the full length of a shift
• Comfortable using standard commercial cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Able to pass a background check
• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required, training is provided
