Description Summary:ย ย ย
The Managerย -ย Accounting supervises multiple accountantsย to ensureย accurateย & timelyย financial data for the client's corporate staff.
Essential Duties:
The duties listed below are the essential functions of this position, and they may change as the needs of the company demand. All associates are expected to do what is necessary to get the work done and to cooperate fully with their supervisor's requests for additional or altered duties.
- Liaises with client's corporate staff.ย
- Directly manages Staff and Senior Accountants including recruiting, onboarding, development, performance management, corrective action, and employee coaching in consultation with the Director of Professionalย Accountingย Services and HR.ย ย
- Monitor compliance with established internal and external procedures toย maintainย consistency and accuracy.ย ย
- Monitorย workloadย and special requests toย determineย feasibility, deadlines, workloadย equityย and efficiency.ย ย
- Maintain professional and responsive communication with clients and internal team membersย
- Leverage approved AI-enabled tools and automation technologies to improve efficiency,ย identifyย anomalies, support reconciliations, draft communications, summarize financial trends, and enhance the accuracy and timeliness of accounting processes whileย maintainingย data security and compliance standards.ย
- Supervise sales, use, & occupancy tax returns.ย
- Perform periodic reviews of working papers, income statements, and related accounting schedules to verify accuracy and adherence toย establishedย standards.ย
- Coordinate training for new employees andย determineย training needs for existing employees.ย ย
- Handle special projects and new initiatives as needed.ย ย
- Experience in authoring and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Standard Work Instructions (SWI). In addition to SOPs and SWI, you will also need to be able to conduct a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and issue notifications and proper follow up for After Action Report (AAR).ย
- Other duties as assignedย
Education/Training/Experience:ย
- Bachelor's degree in Accountingย or a closely related fieldย required; equivalent education and experience may be considered.ย ย
- 5 or more years of progressive accounting experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role inย Accountingย isย required.ย ย
- Proficiencyย usingย Accountingย software packages such as Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, Peachtree Accountingย required; knowledge of M3 proprietary software preferred.ย ย
- Prior experience in Hospitality orย customer facingย role preferred.ย
