Lynden Air Cargo is looking for a Seasonal Maintenance Assistant who is a detail-oriented, hands-on problem solver.
This entry-level position supports the Maintenance Department at our Anchorage station, assisting with routine maintenance tasks and helping ensure the smooth operation of daily activities. As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll gain valuable experience in aviation maintenance while working alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about safety, precision, and performance.
This is a seasonal position, with employment beginning in June through August, dependent on operational needs.

The essential duties of this position are:
- Perform all assigned work in accordance with Lynden Air Cargo’s General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (CFRs).
- Conduct routine shop maintenance under direct supervision, appropriate to your training level and demonstrated skills.
- Work independently on assigned tasks under the guidance of a Lead Mechanic or designee. Tasks may include shop and aircraft parts cleaning, FOD patrol, and general housekeeping.
- Report abnormal conditions or discrepancies to supervisory personnel.
- Participate in on-the-job training toward obtaining Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as needed in support of the maintenance team.
Additional requirements are:
- Must furnish all hand tools of the variety and quantity required to properly perform assigned tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including, but not limited to, maintenance manuals, wiring schematics, and structural repair manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, nights or holidays and to be away from home for extended periods.
- Current US Driver's License
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
