Lux Medical Logistics

We're hiring a Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate courier routes and manage real-time delivery requests, with a strong emphasis on stat and on-demand dispatch. This role is the first point of contact for time-sensitive pickups and requires someone who can prioritize competing urgent requests, communicate clearly under pressure, and keep drivers moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Field and prioritize incoming stat and on-demand delivery requests, assigning them to the nearest available driver
• Track courier locations and delivery status in real time, proactively resolving delays
• Communicate pickup and delivery timing to clients, labs, and drivers
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs and delivery records
• Troubleshoot routing issues and reassign jobs as priorities shift throughout the day
• Escalate time-critical or problem deliveries according to company protocol
• Coordinate with drivers on route sequencing to balance stat requests against scheduled routes

Required Qualifications

• Prior dispatch experience in an on-demand or stat/rush delivery environment (medical courier, messenger service, same-day delivery, or similar)
• Ability to manage multiple urgent requests simultaneously and make fast, sound prioritization decisions
• Strong verbal communication skills, including clear communication under time pressure
• Comfort with dispatch software, GPS/routing tools, and basic computer systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Reliable, in-office availability for the 7:00 AM–4:00 PM shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience dispatching in a healthcare, laboratory, or medical courier setting
• Familiarity with HIPAA-related handling requirements for medical specimens
• Knowledge of the local service area and traffic patterns
• Experience with CXT Software (or similar courier dispatch/tracking software)

Compensation & Schedule

• $21.00/hour
• Full-time, in-office, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
