Job description

We're looking for Part-Time Assistant Teachers. Are you passionate about working with young children and creating a warm, supportive learning environment. The Longwood Medical Area Child Care Center (LMACCC) is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Part-Time Assistant Teachers to join our amazing team.

In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience, support lead teachers, and help foster a positive space where children can learn and grow. If you're eager to make a difference, love working with children, and thrive in a collaborative setting, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do: Gain valuable hands-on experience by assisting classroom teachers as needed Work a flexible, as-needed schedule (most needed hours: 7:30/8-10 AM) Help create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment that supports children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development Assist in planning and implementing engaging daily activities and curriculum Build positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow educators Participate in fun center-wide activities (like Pajama Day!) to help create a joyful, connected community What You'll Need: At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree preferred but not required) Experience working with children in child care, daycare, or preschool settings Strong teamwork skills and a flexible, positive attitude What Makes You a Great Fit: Warm, reliable, and encouraging personality Eager to learn and open to new ideas and teaching approaches Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task effectively Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, lift at least 35 lbs, participate in physical activities, and always maintain full supervision of children Why You'll Love Working Here: Competitive pay rate of $16.25 per hour Flexible schedule that fits your availability Paid sick time Opportunities for growth within our early learning center If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can make a meaningful impact every day, we'd love for you to join us
