LINE COOK — LONG COUNT

Long Count, an intimate aged-wine bar in Manhattan’s East Village, is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented line cook to join our kitchen team.

Our menu is entirely plant-based and designed around texture, seasonality and a wine program centered on beautifully aged bottles. Experience with plant-based cooking is welcome but not required—we care most about strong fundamentals, curiosity and pride in your work.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and maintaining your station for service
• Executing dishes consistently and efficiently
• Following recipes, portioning and presentation standards
• Maintaining a clean, organized and food-safe workspace
• Receiving, labeling and properly storing ingredients
• Communicating clearly with the chef and the rest of the kitchen team
• Assisting with opening, closing and general kitchen duties

The ideal candidate:

• Has at least two years of professional kitchen experience
• Works cleanly, calmly and with urgency
• Is punctual, dependable and receptive to feedback
• Understands that organization and communication are essential to good service
• Is interested in thoughtful food and working with a small, collaborative team
