Personnel Assistant I

The Logistics Company, Inc. is seeking applicants for this position. This role involves performing personnel actions, assisting personnel requesting documents, and providing service to walk-in customers with valid requests to access, screen, review, and audit their own military personnel records in the Automatic Records Management System (ARMS). The position also requires serving as a Verifying Official to verify identity, receive and enter subscriber information, generate subscriber CAC, and assist in resetting Personal Identification Number (PIM) of CAC. Additional duties include managing the military awards and decorations program, maintaining and providing periodic statistics on timeliness, updating MilPDS with current award and decoration data, verifying and processing inquiries concerning entitlements to prior awards and decorations, and acquiring and maintaining the stock of medals and binders.

Requirements include no supervisory responsibilities, proficiency in using personal computers, Microsoft Office Applications, and web-based data systems, a high school diploma, effective communication skills, ability to perform simple statistical mathematical problems, sound judgment, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC). The job demands physical capabilities such as sitting, talking, hearing, reaching, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and specific vision abilities. Work is generally performed in an office setting with occasional outdoor work.
