Anesthesiology - Locum Physician

Anestray Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an Anesthesiologist for a temporary assignment in Cottonwood, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Job Title: Anesthesiologist

Location: Cottonwood, Arizona

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5

Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate: $262 - $283/hr

Responsibilities for an Anesthesiologist:

• Provide anesthesiology coverage for daytime OR and endoscopy procedures, along with scheduled night call and 24-hour call shifts

• Deliver anesthesia services for approximately 3,000 OR cases and 3,000 endoscopy cases annually

• Provide anesthesia support for approximately 500 OB deliveries per year

• Perform OB anesthesia; current OB anesthesia experience is required

• Administer propofol infusion for endoscopy procedures

• Manage anesthesia for common case types including geriatric fractures, urology, general surgery (excluding bariatrics), advanced breast cancer surgery, and total joint procedures

• Cover OB, OR, and endoscopy during nights and weekends as needed

• Collaborate with CRNA support staff and nursing team; CRNA support is always available

• Manage a patient census of approximately 4–8 patients per day across all age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Utilize Cerner EMR for clinical documentation

• Complete required Cerner training/orientation (approximately 4 hours, remote) prior to start date

• Maintain Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology

• Maintain active Arizona license or IMLC Letter of Qualification

• Maintain active DEA registration

• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications

• Comply with COVID-19 and flu vaccination requirements

• Complete medical records in a timely manner
