Job description

For over 26 years, Earth, Turf & Wood has been Lancaster County's go-to outdoor living builder. We are looking for an Outdoor Living Consultant to drive the entire sales journey, from the first conversation to the signed deal.

This isn't about taking orders. It's about consultative selling for clients who want to fall in love with a vision and trust the person helping them get there.

If you thrive face-to-face with homeowners, read a room instinctively, earn trust quickly, and know how to turn an idea into a commitment, this role is built for you.

What You'll Do

  • Lead in-home consultations to uncover what clients truly want and design custom outdoor living solutions around it

  • Walk properties, take accurate measurements, and translate findings into a solid project scope

  • Collaborate with our design and production teams to craft winning proposals

  • Present, follow up, and close deals — then nurture the relationship for referrals and repeat business

  • Guide clients through the process from signed contract to final walkthrough

What Makes You a Fit

  • Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets in landscape construction, outdoor living, home improvement, or a related industry

  • A natural at building trust and closing deals without being pushy

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple active projects simultaneously

  • Established (or growing) roots in Lancaster County — this role thrives on local connections

  • Bonus: experience with hardscaping, masonry, pools, or outdoor construction

Compensation & Benefits

  • On-target earnings: $125,000+

Compensation:

$125,000+ OTE


Responsibilities:
  • Lead engaging in-home consultations to discover clients' outdoor living aspirations and design tailored solutions.
  • Walk properties to take precise measurements and translate them into comprehensive project scopes.
  • Collaborate closely with design and production teams to develop compelling proposals that win clients' hearts.
  • Present proposals with confidence, follow up diligently, and close deals while fostering long-term client relationships.
  • Guide clients seamlessly from the signed contract to the final walkthrough, ensuring satisfaction at every step.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to nurturing client relationships for referrals and repeat business.
  • Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each receives the attention it deserves.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in consultative selling, particularly in landscape construction, outdoor living, or home improvement.
  • Ability to lead engaging in-home consultations and design tailored outdoor solutions.
  • Proven track record of building trust and closing deals without being pushy.
