This role will predominantly be remote, offering flexibility while still maintaining a structure that allows for collaboration with our multidisciplinary team. Our outpatient office setting is equipped with the necessary tools and technology to support virtual therapy sessions, ensuring that therapists can provide seamless care to our clients. Livewell Therapy commits to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, honoring diverse perspectives and creating an atmosphere where both clients and therapists can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions using a variety of modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices, to facilitate healing and growth.
  • Engage in collaborative care by working closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to client welfare.
  • Offer crisis intervention services to clients in acute distress, utilizing crisis management techniques to de-escalate situations and ensure immediate support.
  • Participate in community outreach efforts, hosting workshops and seminars to foster mental health education and awareness throughout Macon-Bibb County and beyond.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal therapist will work with a wide array of clientele, ranging from children and adolescents to adults and families struggling with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. The ability to connect with individuals from different socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds is critical, as our commitment to diversity is at the forefront of our practice.

Qualifications
  • Possess a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • Hold a master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in establishing therapeutic rapport with clients and exceptional communication skills to facilitate understanding and connection.
  • Exhibit cultural competence and sensitivity to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in a community mental health setting or outpatient care is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation standards for managing patient care.
  • Experience in leading group therapy sessions and community workshops is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary in the range of $70,000 to $80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive health benefits package, inclusive of medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage provided to ensure peace of mind while you focus on client care.
  • Generous paid time off policy and holiday leave to promote work-life balance.
  • Ongoing opportunities for professional development and continuing education to foster personal and career growth.

We offer various avenues for advancement, including specialized training, leadership workshops, and the chance to participate in community outreach projects. Employees are encouraged to take the initiative in their professional development and may also have opportunities for supervisory roles as the organization expands.
