Position Title: Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Bartlett, Illinois

Position Overview:

The Landscape Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the daily execution, productivity, and quality control of landscape maintenance operations. This role oversees 8–9 maintenance crews up to 27 field employees, including foremen and laborers, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee 8–9 maintenance crews and up to 27 field employees, including foremen and laborers; ensure proper staffing, equipment readiness, and daily accountability
  • Manage daily route execution, crew rollouts, and production flow; resolve field issues in real time
  • Drive crew efficiency, minimize downtime, and enforce performance expectations across all maintenance operations
  • Verify and approve daily time entries in Aspire; ensure accuracy and correct discrepancies promptly
  • Conduct field inspections to confirm quality standards are met on all properties before crews depart
  • Enforce company safety protocols, conduct pre-shift safety talks, ensure proper PPE usage, and support ongoing safety training initiatives
  • Communicate daily with Foremen to provide clear job expectations and address operational concerns
  • Attend weekly branch meetings to report on crew performance, fleet conditions, and client feedback
  • Ensure all trucks, trailers, and equipment are clean, functional, and serviced per company maintenance schedules; report damage or repair needs to the appropriate manager
  • Support Account Managers with monthly site audits and proactively identify potential service enhancements

Qualifications & Experience:

Required

  • 3–5+ years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple crews simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and accountability; ability to hold field employees to clear performance standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage daily operational complexity and resolve field issues independently 

Preferred

  • Experience using Aspire for labor tracking, time management, and productivity reporting
  • Familiarity with safety compliance platforms such as Greenius
  • Background overseeing fertilizer application operations in addition to maintenance

  • Accurate and timely Aspire time entries with minimal discrepancies
  • Consistent high-quality audit scores across all managed properties
  • Strong safety performance with minimal incidents
  • Improved crew retention and reduced turnover within supervised teams
  • Smooth daily operational execution with reliable schedule adherence

Comp & Benefits:

  • Base: $68,000 – $75,000 annually
  • Bonus eligibility: Performance-based (labor efficiency, retention, quality)
  • Benefits: Medical and 401k with 4% match
