If so, we want you to lead our little learners on their daily adventures at the Family YMCA Child Development Academy!  About the Job:As a Lead Teacher, you will be the leader of the classroom, full of bright, energetic, and sometimes sticky-fingered little learners. You will create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children can learn, play and grow.  What You'll Do: Plan fun and creative activities that make learning fun and engaging.Foster a love for books, numbers, and hands-on learning.Maintain lesson plans and keep parents and directors in the loop on child's progress.Be a mentor to assistant teachers and a role model for our little learners.Handle big emotions with patience and kindness. What We Are Looking For:A passion for early childhood education. Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.A team player with great communication skills.The ability to turn everyday moments into learning opportunities.CPR/First Aid CertificationA degree in Early Childhood Education or a CDA Certificate is preferred. If not currently credentialed with a CDA, TCC, or degree in Early Childhood Education (or a related qualifying field), the incumbent must enroll in a qualifying credential program within six (6) months of hire and complete the credential or degree within eighteen (18) months of enrollment.  Grow With Us:We invest in great teachers and reward long-term commitment.
