What You'll Do

Duties:


  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional growth tailored to preschool-aged children.
  • Lead engaging lessons and activities that support child development milestones and encourage active participation.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies to create a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections.
  • Support children with special needs through early intervention strategies and individualized instruction aligned with childhood development principles.
  • Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining first aid and CPR certifications, and following health protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities, assess student progress through standardized testing when appropriate, and maintain organized records of child welfare and development.

Requirements

  • We Prefer Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, especially within preschool or toddler care environments.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education practices including curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
  • Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention methods, and childhood development instruction.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in mandated reporting laws is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to create inclusive learning environments that support child welfare and promote positive social interactions.
