Little Highlanders Childcare

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Full - Time or Part - Time Daycare Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, promotes their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development, and works collaboratively with fellow staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, crafts, games, and lessons.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Assist children with daily routines, including meals, snacks, toileting, and rest time.
• Encourage positive behavior using appropriate guidance techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's daily activities and progress.
• Follow all daycare policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support children's development.
• Participate in staff meetings and required training as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass required background clearances.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, patient, and compassionate.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
