Position Details:
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Location: Hillsdale, MI.
Shift: 2nd, 3rd
Compensation: $19.00 / Hour

Summary:
The pre- weigh operator will perform tasks associated with the process of producing a quality product. This may require working on many different tasks during a working shift. We are seeking candidates from all levels of light industrial fields including, warehouse operators, forklift, machine operation and maintenance. Individuals should have a commitment to safety and producing quality products. Training will be provided and opportunities for advancement exist.
Duties:

  • This location makes industrial adhesives used in the automotive industry
  • Operating vehicles, mechanized devices, or powered equipment, such as: forklifts, or lift assists.
  • Perform operations and related activities per task instructions to produce adhesives.
  • Liquid Add/Pre-Weigh Material Handler
  • Handling/measuring and delivering Liquid Agents to Mixers.
  • Employee will prepare batch setup for production by weighing powders and setting up full bags of materials (up to 50lbs each) on skids.
  • Will assist production in adding liquid materials to mixers as required.
  • Use of forklift is required.
  • Comply with and follow established quality control processes.
  • Follow established procedures for operating manufacturing equipment for tasks.

Requirements:

  • Forklift experience is required.
  • Professional experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Must have strong work history.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow written work instructions is a must.
  • Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Must be able to pass a PFT (Pulmonary fitness test), math test, and color blindness test.
  • Must be cleaned shaved.
  • Be flexible to work overtime and cover other shifts as/if needed.
  • Must have basic math and computer skills.
  • This position requires the use of the following during operations ( N95 Mask or better, Tyvek Coat, gloves, eyes protection, anti-static steeled toe shoes).
  • This position is located in an industrial environment and all employees are expected to follow safety rules, meet production expectations, and uphold quality standards.
  • Candidates cannot begin an assignment without successful drug & background screening clearances.
