Corporate Director of Labor ManagementThe Corporate Director of Labor Management is responsible for leading labor management strategy, workforce optimization, and Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) oversight across the organization's Ohio-based skilled nursing facilities. This role partners closely with regional teams and facility leadership teams to drive labor performance, staffing effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.The Director serves as the organization's subject matter expert in skilled nursing labor management and PBJ reporting, providing analysis, education, and strategic guidance to support quality resident care while achieving labor productivity goals. This position is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve staffing efficiency, reduce agency usage and overtime, strengthen workforce planning, and ensure compliance with CMS staffing and PBJ requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead labor management initiatives across all Ohio skilled nursing facilities.Partner with Regional leadership teams to develop and execute labor action plans.Establish labor management standards, benchmarks, and accountability measures.Analyze labor performance and identify opportunities to improve staffing efficiency and financial outcomes.Guide leadership teams in balancing labor resources with resident acuity, census fluctuations, and quality expectations.Promote consistent labor management practices across the organization.Serve as the organization's primary expert on Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) reporting and compliance.Monitor PBJ submissions and staffing metrics to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.Educate operational and clinical leaders on PBJ requirements, staffing measures, and Five-Star implications.Identify and address PBJ-related risks and opportunities.Conduct audits and reviews to ensure staffing data integrity and reporting accuracy.Partner with facility leaders to improve PBJ performance and staffing outcomes.Provide leadership, coaching, and oversight to Regional and Facility leadership teams regarding labor management practices.Facilitate regular labor review meetings with regional operational and clinical leaders.Support facilities in developing staffing plans aligned with census, resident acuity, and budget expectations.Collaborate with Human Resources and operations leaders to address staffing challenges and improve workforce stability.Assist leadership teams in developing action plans to reduce contract labor, overtime, and turnover.With the support of the Labor Analyst, track and analyze key labor metrics, including:Hours Per Patient Day (HPPD)Labor Cost Per Patient DayAgency UtilizationOvertime UtilizationPBJ Staffing MetricsClinical Staffing LevelsTurnover and Retention MetricsPresent labor performance results and recommendations to executive leadership.Utilize workforce data to forecast staffing needs and support operational decision-making.QualificationsMinimum of 5-7 years of leadership experience in skilled nursing facility operations, labor management, and workforce management.Extensive experience managing labor performance within nursing homes or post-acute care settings.Demonstrated expertise in Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ) reporting and CMS staffing requirements.Strong understanding of HPPD management, staffing models, labor budgeting, and workforce analytics.Experience supporting multiple nursing home locations at a regional or corporate level.Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.Advanced proficiency with Excel and labor management reporting systems.Experience leading labor reduction and workforce stabilization initiatives in skilled nursing settings.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout healthcare facilities for extended periods.Ability to work at a computer workstation for prolonged periods while reviewing labor analytics, PBJ reports, budgets, and operational data.Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meeting platforms.Ability to travel between facilities and attend meetings throughout Ohio as needed.Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 pounds.Visual acuity sufficient to review electronic reports, spreadsheets, and operational documents.Ability to navigate healthcare environments, including administrative offices, resident care areas, and facility grounds.Travel RequirementsRegular travel throughout Ohio to support skilled nursing facilities and regional teams.Conduct on-site labor management reviews, staffing assessments, and PBJ audits.Attend corporate meetings, leadership conferences, and organizational events as required.Estimated travel: 50%–75%, depending on organizational needs and facility support requirements.Must maintain a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
