Job description
We are seeking an Underwriter to become an integral part of our team. You will be reviewing submissions from sales/agents/brokers for Workers’ Compensation coverage in the leasing arena.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with representatives to obtain a complete submission by requesting missing information and clarifying any inconsistencies.
- Reviews loss experience, payroll information, and overall exposure of the risk.
- Expresses findings of the risk and recommend to approve, deny or modify the account based on the exposures and Underwriting guidelines.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of the Underwriting assessment and decision.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience in Workers’ Compensation.
- Knowledge of NCCI codes is essential.
- Strong oral/written communication skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Knowledge of a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) is a plus.
