Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, beginning with initial consultations and carrying through to detailed documentation of client progress throughout treatment.
• Collaborate with clients to craft individualized treatment and recovery plans tailored to their unique needs, encompassing support for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage clients to engage in self-discovery and emotional healing.
• Monitor client progress consistently, making adjustments to therapeutic interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
• Follow up on referrals and maintain communication with healthcare providers involved in client care, especially for those needing hospitalization or additional services.
• Support family members and caregivers in managing mental health challenges, offering guidance on best practices and intervention strategies.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in psychotherapy, attending trainings and workshops as part of your commitment to lifelong professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Life Well Counseling Center, your focus will be on a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Our aim is to provide personalized care to every client, supporting their individual journeys toward emotional resilience and improved mental health.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Previous clinical experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating your ability to manage diverse cases effectively.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly experience with AVATAR or similar platforms.
• A strong understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, along with addiction disorders, is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a sympathetic and empathetic approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health or outpatient clinic setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• A thorough knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health treatment.
• A history of successful collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in addressing complex client needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Life Well Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
