Position Overview

Life Wave Counseling Center is actively searching for passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapists (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to join our vibrant team. Work Environment

This role will be conducted remotely, offering you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance efficiently. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of each patient.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy to facilitate growth and healing, tailoring approaches to the unique circumstances of each client.
• Lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups to foster community and understanding around shared mental health challenges.
• Engage in crisis intervention strategies to offer immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring client safety and well-being.
• Educate clients on their conditions, treatment options, and available resources within the community, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to ensure holistic and coordinated care across interdisciplinary teams.
• Continuously update your knowledge regarding the latest advancements and best practices in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse population dealing with a broad spectrum of mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. Your role will involve working empathetically with individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring that therapy is inclusive and culturally competent.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• A strong foundation in mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and evidence-driven treatment approaches.
• Proven experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Demonstrated ability to provide individual and group therapy with diverse populations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal relationships.
• Adherence to professional ethics and sound judgment in decision-making processes.
• Proficient with EHR systems and relevant computer applications conducive to mental health practice.
• A collaborative mindset conducive to teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a community health clinic or outpatient setting is preferred, particularly in handling complex cases.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and managing intensive treatment scenarios.
• Experience in organizing and leading group therapy sessions or psychoeducational programs.

Compensation and Benefits

Life Wave Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
