ENTRY-LEVEL AUTOCAD DRAFTER
Job Summary
We are seeking an on-site, full-time entry-level AutoCAD Drafter to join our design team. In this role, you will assist in creating, modifying, and managing technical drawings for upcoming projects. You will work under the direct supervision of senior engineers or architects, gaining hands-on industry experience while ensuring compliance with safety and company standards.
Core Responsibilities
Drafting: Create and modify 2D technical drawings, blueprints, and layouts using AutoCAD based on engineer sketches.
Revisions: Incorporate redlines, markups, and client feedback into existing drawings accurately and quickly.
Data Management: Organize, archive, and maintain digital drawing files and project documentation according to company file structures.
Site Support: Assist project teams with data entry, material take-offs, and basic calculation checks.
Team Collaboration: Attend project meetings to learn design requirements and coordinate tasks with senior drafting staff.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Technical diploma, certificate, or associate degree in drafting, CAD technology, architecture, or engineering.
Software: Foundational proficiency with AutoCAD (classroom experience or internship exposure is acceptable).
Skills: Solid understanding of basic math, geometry, and spatial reasoning.
Detail-Oriented: Ability to follow strict drafting standards, layering systems, and scaling guidelines.
Trainability: Strong desire to learn, accept feedback, and adapt to specific industry codes and practices.
Salary Range (based on experience): $19-30 per hour
