IGG Canada is a division of IGG (I Got Games), a global interactive digital entertainment company specializing in developing and operating Mobile Games. Established in 2006, IGG was founded with the aim of becoming a leading multiplayer game publisher and developer. The company has rapidly expanded its global operations, through strategic partnerships with popular gaming platforms such as Facebook, iOS, Amazon, Google Play, Kongregate, and many others. IGG currently operates studios in China, Philippines, Singapore, the U.S., and Canada (opened in 2013).

Position: UI Artist (Mobile Game)
Report to: Associate Producer
Department: Pre-production 3D SLG Game Team

Hiring Level: Experienced
Location: 8/F, 988 West Broadway, Vancouver, British Columbia V5Z 1K7


Employment Terms:

  • Less than 1 year of relevant experience: Initial 3-month contract
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience: Initial 1-year contract
  • More than 3 years of relevant experience: Permanent position

Note: Contract durations are subject to individual assessment and may vary based on specific qualifications and experience.


Hiring Processes:

1. Resume & Showreel/Portfolio &Gameplay review - only portfolios featuring mobile game UI design projects will be considered;

Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of the Associate Producer, implement the visual language of the UI through iconography, typography, visual hierarchy, and motion design.
  • Ensure overall visual creativity, style consistency, color schemes, and layouts meet the product requirements.
  • Assist in designing and producing key assets such as icons and game logos.
  • Efficiently manage multiple design-related tasks while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with the UX team, engineers, and UI technical designers to meet tight deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the team.


Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in game UI design.
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Art, Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficient in Photoshop, with skills in U3D production or graphic design.
  • Strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout, user flow, and motion design principles.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX prototyping tools such as FIGMA, Adobe XD, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Passion for innovation in UI and improving production techniques.
  • Strong curiosity and keen awareness of art trends in the gaming industry.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent planning and prioritization skills.
  • Responsible, resilient under pressure, and excellent in communication and teamwork.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada without any sponsorship from the employer.


Bonus Points:

  • Experience in mobile game development.
  • Passionate gamer with an understanding of game art and user experience.
  • Experience with AI tools such as MidJourney, NijiJourney, or Stable Diffusion.
