Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Physician Assistant (PA) to join an onsite outpatient clinic in California. The role will primarily support Urgent Care and Primary Care services and is ideal for a clinically confident PA who is comfortable evaluating patients independently, performing minor procedures, completing physical examinations, and working in a fast-paced outpatient setting. The facility prefers a full-time provider working approximately five days per week but may consider candidates seeking a 3–4 day schedule. Weekday schedules are available, and weekend shifts may also be available. This is a float/multi-site position supporting clinic locations within a reasonable geographic radius. The provider will most likely have a primary clinic location but must be willing and able to provide coverage at multiple nearby clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in an Urgent Care and/or Primary Care setting
  • Perform comprehensive and focused physical examinations
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans
  • Perform minor office-based procedures within scope of practice
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing
  • Prescribe medications and provide patient education as appropriate
  • Coordinate care and referrals when needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR/EHR system
  • Collaborate with physicians and other clinical staff
  • Maintain compliance with clinical, licensing, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current and valid Physician Assistant certification
  • Active medical license; must be eligible to practice in California by the start date
  • Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain one
  • Current BLS certification
  • ALS/ACLS certification as required by the facility
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in Urgent Care or Primary Care preferred
  • Relevant specialty clinic experience may be considered depending on background
  • Comfortable performing minor procedures and primary care physical examinations
  • Proficient with EMR/EHR systems and general healthcare technology
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
  • Clean professional license and background

Schedule

  • Full-time, approximately 5 days per week preferred
  • May consider 3–4 days per week
  • Weekday schedules available
  • Weekend shifts may also be available

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $87–$100+ per hour, depending on experience
  • Average salary range: $195,000–$208,000, depending on experience
  • Full benefits package available for eligible full-time employees
  • Company-sponsored health plan, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Company-sponsored malpractice insurance
  • Full reimbursement for maintaining required licensure, board certification, DEA registration, and CME expenses
  • Monthly provider incentive program based on factors such as clinic volume, patient satisfaction ratings, procedures conducted, PCP visits, and new referrals
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match

Relocation

  • Candidates must be able to work onsite in California by their start date. Relocation assistance may be available for the right experienced candidate relocating from out of state.

Preferred

  • Bilingual ability is a plus. Preferred second languages include Spanish, Hindi/Punjabi, Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese), Vietnamese, and Tagalog.
