Job description

We are seeking a reliable and consistent Janitor/Custodian to maintain cleanliness at an elementary school on weekdays. This role requires professional cleaning experience and dedication to ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for students and staff. The position operates Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Pay is $12.25 an hour (no taxes taken out). Pay day is the 1st and 16th of each month via Cash app, Venmo, Apple Pay, Zelle, or direct deposit.

Responsibilities

  • Sweep, mop, and maintain floors
  • Dust all surfaces regularly
  • Empty trash receptacles and pick-up all trash around campus and playgrounds
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms thoroughly
  • Attend to student accidents
  • Dust blinds and windowsills
  • Remove dirt, dust, cobwebs, and debris from corners and crevices in halls in common areas
  • Perform daily floor maintenance and upkeep

Required Qualifications

  • Professional cleaning experience
  • Reliable transportation and working cell phone
  • Must pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years of custodial service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
