Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health to identify their needs and collaboratively develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual situations.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic modalities.
  • Work closely with clients to establish clear therapeutic goals, track their progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of client records by accurately documenting sessions and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care for clients, ensuring holistic support throughout their healing journey.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by staying abreast of advancements within the mental health field through workshops and further training.
  • Maintain a minimum caseload initially of 10 therapy sessions per week, with the expectation to grow to 25 sessions as practice develops.
  • Participate in marketing initiatives to enhance practice visibility, which includes refining your profile on platforms like Psychology Today.
  • Attend weekly case review meetings to foster collaboration and uphold high-quality care standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Legacy Counseling, you will serve a diverse client base, focusing on individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and ADHD. Your insights and therapeutic interventions will be pivotal in helping clients transform challenges into growth opportunities, thereby enriching their personal and communal lives.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling or a related mental health field is essential.
  • Possession of a current, valid Pennsylvania state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in counseling, ideally within a clinical environment, is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike.
  • A capacity to work autonomously, complemented by a collaborative approach within a team setting.
Preferred Experience
