Key Responsibilities

    1. Keep regularly scheduled hoursas agreed upon in the ServiceAgreement and actively see patients in the Clinic.
    2. Workwithmedicalschoolsandresidencytrainingprogramsintheirparticipationin Clinic activities.
    3. Developmethod forassessment of thequalityofservicesprovided byclinical services with particular emphasis on medical.
    4. SupportclinicalcareduringregularClinichoursandafterhoursshouldassistancebe required.
    5. Assistinreviewanddevelopmentofpatienteducationalmaterialbeforereleaseto patients.
    6. Provide supervision of health care students of any discipline assigned to the Clinic for educational purposes.
    7. Participateinplanningforfutureclinicaloperations,withemphasisoninterdisciplinary team-oriented care.
    8. Developandmaintainaprogramforclinicalqualityassurance.
    9. Developand maintenanceofClinicaldiagnosticandtreatmentprotocols.
    10. Participationintherecruitmentandretentionofprovidersandotherclinicalstaff.
    11. Participationinresearch
    12. Attendregularlyscheduledserviceline meetings.
    13. Providesupervisionofmid-levelprovidersandmentorstudents.
    14. Provide knowledge,basic techniques, and patient recruitment for research projects when available.
    15. Assist in performingdata analyses, interpretation and publishing ofany research projects.
    16. Participatein thePerformanceImprovementProgram
    17. Interview and advise patientsregarding health and illness prevention,including FQHC-requiredvoluntaryfamilyplanningservicesandrelatedpreventativehealthservicesin compliance withfunding requirements andstate and federallaws,rulesandregulations.
    18. Perform other duties as assigned.


    EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be licensed in Texas as an MD or DO
    • Must be Board Certified/Eligible in Endocrinology
    • Must have active DEA

    • Provider shallobtain,maintain and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers‘compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer,health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountablehealth plan,and other health benefit program requested by Legacy.

      BLS(CPR&AED)CertifiedMedicalDoctorwithcurrentlicensure.
    • Ability to meet Legacy Community Health’s EPIC proficiency requirements.

    WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Atleast2years of experienceworkinginendocrinology,preferred

    • Previous experience in a hospital and/or clinic setting
    • BilingualEnglish/Spanishpreferred
    • Must be proficient with all aspects of EMR
