Make a Measurable Difference for Students

Are you a Wisconsin-licensed teacher who is passionate about helping students build confidence and make measurable academic progress?

Learning Exchange is seeking dedicated educators to provide small-group Reading, Math, and/or ELA intervention services at a non-public school in the City of Milwaukee . You’ll work with students in a focused, supportive environment using research-based curriculum and student progress data to deliver targeted instruction.

Pay: $35–$38/hour , based on your license, degree, teaching experience, and intervention experience.

Wisconsin DPI Licenses We’re Seeking

We are especially interested in educators holding one or more of the following Wisconsin DPI licenses:

  • 2088 – Elementary/Middle Level Education — Math intervention
  • 1400 – Early Adolescence to Adolescence, Math
  • 1316 – Early Childhood to Adolescence, Reading Teacher — Reading intervention

Schedule & Employment Status

  • Full-Time: 30+ hours per week
  • Part-Time: Less than 30 hours per week

What You’ll Do

  • Provide small-group Reading, Math, and/or ELA interventions based on your licensed grade band and developmental level
  • Use research-based curriculum to plan targeted lessons based on student needs and progress data
  • Analyze assessment data to plan instruction and monitor student growth
  • Administer and review STAR assessments
  • Track student attendance, academic progress, and intervention outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with school staff and families
  • Participate in team meetings and parent conferences
  • Maintain accurate student records and documentation
  • Maintain inventory of instructional materials and supplies
  • Participate in monthly meetings with your instructional coach
  • Engage in training, coaching, and feedback to strengthen your instructional practice and support your professional goals

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license in Regular Education, Math, ELA, English, Reading, or a related qualifying license
  • Experience teaching or supporting students
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to use technology for assessments and student progress monitoring
  • Passion for helping struggling learners succeed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

The role requires the ability to:

  • Sit, stand, and walk throughout the school day
  • Move between classrooms and school learning spaces
  • Occasionally lift or carry instructional materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Climb stairs as needed within school buildings
