Purpose of Position
The Community Engagement & Events Manager plays a vital role in expanding the organization's reach, visibility, and impact through educational programming, community engagement, referral network development, and events.
This position is responsible forplanning and coordinating workshops, lunch and learns, community events, supporter engagement activities, and outreach initiatives that strengthen awareness, expand referral pathways, and deepen relationships with families, educators, professionals, supporters, and community partners.
The Community Engagement & Events Manager serves as a bridge between the organization and the communities it serves, helping translate expertiseinto meaningful learning experiences while building the relationships that support growth, engagement, and impact.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities
Working closely with the Senior Manager, Communications, Communications Manager, Advancement Manager, education team members, instructors, volunteers, and community partners, you will support organizational growth and community engagement in the following key areas:
Community Education and Learning
Referral Network & Community Partnerships
Events and Community Engagement
Supporter and Community Events
Project Management and Operations
Tasks outside of those explicitly outlined may be expected during times of increased needs

Reports To: Senior Manager, Communications
Hours of Work:40paidhours per week, Monday to Friday
Approximate schedule could be anywhere from 8:30 a.m.10:30 a.m. start time and 4:30 p.m.7:00 p.m. end time (Pacific Time).Occasional weekend oreveningwork may berequired, with advance notice
Abilityto work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, isrequired.
