Position Overview

Larson Counseling Center is eagerly seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our integrated care team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to support individuals on their journey to recovery from the comfort of your own home. You will play a key role in addressing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, helping our clients achieve greater holistic well-being.

Work Environment

This position is structured to be entirely remote through a telehealth setting, providing a unique opportunity to engage with clients using digital communication tools. Our work environment encourages flexibility and leverages technology to provide mental health services efficiently and effectively. You will be part of a supportive and innovative team, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on client appointment needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, identifying co-occurring disorders where applicable.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating tailored, evidence-based interventions to address both mental health and substance use challenges.
• Deliver high-quality individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients build essential coping mechanisms and relapse prevention strategies.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to implement integrated and holistic treatment approaches.
• Facilitate ongoing substance use monitoring and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families on the connection between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the significance of treatment compliance and ongoing support.
• Maintain diligent documentation of treatment progress and interventions, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in case conferences and staff meetings, contributing to a culture of continual learning and improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Therapist at Larson Counseling Center, you will work primarily with individuals who are experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our diverse client population comprises adults and adolescents facing a range of issues—from anxiety and depression to substance dependence. Your interventions will directly influence their recovery trajectories and help pave the way for more fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Arizona.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies, especially those focused on co-occurring disorders such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• A solid understanding of the complexities involved in co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a telehealth environment is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in integrated care settings that address both mental health and substance use treatment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for comprehensive documentation and coordination of care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year, along with additional bonuses to recognize your contributions to our mission.
