Item Master Administrator

The Item Master Administrator reports to the IT department and serves as the central steward of part and item master data within the organization's ERP environment. This role is responsible for coordinating the creation, auditing, maintenance, and governance of accurate, complete, and consistent item master records. Working closely with Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Sales, Operations, and the Product Configuration Administrator, this position ensures timely and accurate population of item attributes, synchronization between Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and Bluestar PLM, effective revision control, and successful phase-in of new items and phase-out of obsolete parts. The Item Master Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining data integrity, supporting cross-functional business processes, and improving operational efficiency across the organization.

This position primarily operates in a professional office environment with the majority of time spent working on a computer, participating in conference calls, and attending meetings. The role may occasionally require access to manufacturing or operational areas and requires adherence to all applicable workplace safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment when required.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer, as well as occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and participation in meetings or activities within manufacturing and office environments. The employee may occasionally be required to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as needed. The position may require reaching for objects at or above shoulder height and operating standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, telephones, and related equipment.
