LUSEO Engineering specializes in the engineering design of residential/multifamily, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use projects. Our clientele includes architects, contractors, owners and developers.


Role Description:

The Structural Engineer supports LUSEO Engineering teams by overseeing structural engineering projects from planning through completion, performing engineering design and analysis, maintaining Revit modeling and detailing standards, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients.


Role Responsibilities:

  1. Technical and Project Support: Your responsibilities will include supporting the US and Colombia based teams as follows:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of structural engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Revit Standards & Detailing: Leverage Revit expertise to establish and maintain proper structural modeling and detailing standards. Review and improve team models and drawings, ensuring accurate, consistent, and constructible structural details are incorporated into project deliverables.
  • Perform engineering design and calculations for entire projects or specific components, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and integration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and quality of engineering designs and deliverables, conduct thorough reviews, and implement quality assurance processes.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, verify compliance with design specifications, and provide on-site technical support as needed.
  • Coordinate and complete project administrative tasks including scoping of work, participation in team, and oversight of typical engineering consulting and project management tasks.
  1. Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships, addressing their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Other substantive and administrative tasks supporting operational efficiency and team development.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Revit for structural modeling, detailing, and drawing production
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis software (RAM, ETABS, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of structural design principles and applicable building codes
  • Ability to prepare and review structural construction documents and details
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client-facing work
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams (architects, MEP engineers, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus


Experience:

  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience
  • Minimum 2 years of structural Revit modeling experience
  • Experience developing structural construction documents and details
  • Ability to independently perform structural analysis and design
  • Experience reviewing and coordinating structural analysis models (RAM or ETABS)
