This one is about building the next decade of growth. Are you a strategic business leader who enjoys developing markets, cultivating trusted partnerships, and creating sustainable growth? Do you thrive when given the autonomy to lead a region, think strategically, and influence business outcomes?
We're seeking a Regional Director of Business Development for the Eastern United States to lead growth across an established territory for a leading manufacturer of premium commercial foodservice equipment. This is an opportunity to shape regional strategy, strengthen industry relationships, and expand our presence in key vertical markets while serving as a trusted advisor to customers and business partners.
We value thoughtful planning, disciplined execution, and consultative relationship management over high-volume transactional selling. Success in this role comes from understanding customer needs, creating strategic market plans, and earning long-term trust—not relying on high-pressure sales tactics.
What You’ll DoAs the Regional Director of Business Development, you will own the strategy and execution for your territory while serving as a trusted advisor to customers, consultants, dealers, and independent sales representative firms.
Your responsibilities include:
Develop and execute a comprehensive regional business development strategy that achieves or exceeds revenue and market share goals.
Lead, coach, and support independent sales representative firms throughout the territory.
Evaluate, recruit, develop, and strengthen high-performing independent sales representatives, dealers and consultants to ensure exceptional regional market coverage and long-term growth.
Build and strengthen relationships with foodservice equipment dealers, consultants, end users, and key decision-makers in K-12, healthcare, higher education, and commercial foodservice markets.
Drive product specifications and identify new project opportunities from initial engagement through project completion.
Conduct formal monthly business reviews with representative firms and provide performance reports, forecasts, and market intelligence to executive leadership.
Deliver compelling product presentations, educational seminars, and strategic planning sessions.
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and professional associations to increase market awareness and identify emerging opportunities.
Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and recommend product improvements.
Partner with engineering, marketing, and executive leadership to support product development and enhance customer value.
Utilize CRM and internal sales tools to manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and opportunity tracking.
Travel frequently throughout the assigned region to support customers, representative firms, and business development initiatives.
What You BringBachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
Five or more years of successful business development, sales, or marketing experience.
Experience within commercial foodservice equipment, K-12, healthcare, higher education, or related markets is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of commercial foodservice equipment.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships across multiple levels of an organization.
Strong consultative selling, presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
Experience managing manufacturers' representative agencies, dealer networks, or multi-channel sales organizations is highly valued.
Demonstrated success developing strategic territory plans and delivering measurable growth.
Strong analytical, forecasting, and strategic planning capabilities.
Experience using CRM and sales management systems to manage opportunities and business performance.
Technical knowledge of fabrication or manufacturing processes is a plus.
Who Thrives HereThis role is ideal for professionals who:
Think strategically and execute with discipline.
Enjoy creating long-term growth plans rather than pursuing short-term wins.
Build credibility through expertise, preparation, and thoughtful follow-through.
Prefer consultative problem-solving over transactional selling.
Are naturally curious and enjoy learning technical products and industry applications.
Make decisions using data, sound judgment, and market insight.
Work independently while collaborating effectively across internal teams.
Enjoy coaching and developing business partners to achieve shared success.
Take ownership of their territory and are motivated by building lasting business partnerships.
Why Join Us?You'll represent a respected manufacturer known for innovation, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer partnerships. You'll have the autonomy to shape regional strategy, influence business decisions, and work alongside a collaborative leadership team that values initiative, expertise, and continuous improvement.
This is more than a sales leadership role—it's an opportunity to shape a market, influence strategy, build a high-performing regional network, and leave a lasting impact on the business.
If you're energized by developing markets, solving complex customer challenges, and building enduring partnerships that create sustainable growth, we'd love to hear from you.
