Job Summary:
VSA by Vacatia is looking for the right candidate to fill the Lead Resort Maintenance Technician role. The Lead Resort Maintenance Tech will be responsible to provide manpower and monitor building and unit efficiency and performance. The Lead Resort Maintenance Tech will direct and coordinate daily activities of maintenance personnel. In addition, the Lead Resort Maintenance Tech will supports efforts in meeting company guest satisfaction goals, including RCI Silver Crown Distinction expectations. The Lead Resort Maintenance Technician reports to and takes direction from the Resort Manager. The role may require working on weekends and holidays.

Essential functions/duties include:
  • Responsible for submitting schedules, coordinating staffing, and weekly team meetings with Team Members. Providing and coordinating manpower for daily shift coverage and emergency on-call hours (as needed)
  • Responsible for supporting management efforts in training, attire, grooming and productivity of department staff
  • Responsible for general building interiors and exteriors maintenance, service calls, planned preventative maintenance, pool upkeep and landscaping.
  • Knowledgeable of ADA pool lift procedures and periodic maintenance.
  • Responsible for overall building knowledge; ability to identify, report, and minimize abnormal maintenance conditions or safety concerns
  • Fully knowledgeable with ability to respond to emergency situations and perform emergency procedures
  • Respond to daily maintenance requests from guests and other departments
  • Responsible for tracking, maintaining, safe conditions, use and inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and resources
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as situation dictates

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Well-rounded maintenance background with proven experience
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Pool certification is required

Physical Requirements:
  • Position commonly requires standing, climbing stairs, talking, and hearing. Position frequently requires walking, lifting, handling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and use of touch to feel. Must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Items over 25 pounds will be done with equipment or the assistance of two or more employees.
