Role Description The Administrative Assistant internship at LA-INK Publishing is a hybrid role with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing greeting and routing inquiries, scheduling meetings, and maintaining calendars for team members. The intern will support general clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, preparing proposal documents, and organizing records. Additional duties may include assisting with executive administrative support, coordinating internal communication, and helping with office logistics and basic project support as needed. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in administrative operations within a publishing environment.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Administrative Assistance and Executive Administrative Assistance skills for supporting daily office operations and leadership needs.
  • Strong Etiquette and Communication skills for handling calls, messages, and professional correspondence.
  • Reliable Clerical Skills, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and basic record-keeping.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site duties with remote tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management capabilities.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and scheduling tools).
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
  • Interest in the publishing industry or creative fields; prior office or internship experience is beneficial but not required.
