What You'll Do
As the Assistant Store Manager, you'll help lead store operations while ensuring customers receive the exceptional service they expect from Kwik Stop. You'll work closely with the Store Manager to maintain operational excellence, support team development, and create a positive workplace culture.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the store
- Supervising and supporting team members during shifts
- Providing outstanding customer service and resolving customer concerns
- Maintaining accurate inventory and financial records
- Monitoring cash handling procedures and store security
- Training, coaching, and developing employees
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Assisting with scheduling and staffing needs
- Stocking merchandise and maintaining store presentation
- Helping manage food service operations and product quality
- Promoting a positive, productive, and team-focused work environment

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a retail environment
- Cash handling, sales, or customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency and experience using point-of-sale systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible availability and a strong work ethic
Experience in convenience store, retail, food service, or hospitality management is a plus but not required.
Schedule
This is a full-time position based in
Dubuque, with primary availability needed for
