Job description

*This opportunity is a contract to hire position*


1.       ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.1.    Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, including but not limited to electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

1.2.    Install and modify equipment using layouts, diagrams, and schematics.

1.3.    Perform preventative maintenance and complete repair work orders.

1.4.    Proactively identify equipment issues, root causes of failures, and opportunities for process improvements, and recommend corrective actions.

1.5.    Identify, request, and document replacement parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance activities.

1.6.    Perform repair work utilizing machine shop equipment, welding equipment, hand tools, and assembly techniques.

1.7.    Support production operations by ensuring equipment safety, reliability, and compliance with company safety protocols and MI/OSHA requirements.

1.8.    Maintain maintenance records, part inventory usage, and preventative maintenance schedules.

1.9.    Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, organized, and safe conditions.

1.10.                      Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements while performing maintenance activities.

1.11.                      Other tasks as assigned.

2.       EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

2.1.    High school diploma or equivalent

2.2.    Minimum of 2 years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive manufacturing.

2.3.    Experience with plant utility and facility systems, including compressed air systems.

2.4.    Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.

2.5.    Communicate effectively with line workers, management team, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities, resolve equipment issues, and minimize production downtime.

3.       WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing setting with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and moving machines/equipment.
