Per Diem | Nights | 12 - Hour Shifts
Our Telemetry Patient Care Assistant (Telemetry PCA) will work in our hospital's telemetry unit, providing general patient care while also supporting continuous heart and vital sign monitoring for cardiac patients. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

With 227 beds, the community hospital specializes in emergency care, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, wound care, surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, critical care, and interventional radiology. Knapp serves as the only acute care hospital in the Mid-Valley area, as well as Weslaco's only Level III Trauma Center, Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and Level II Newborn Nursery. ResponsibilitiesEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
3. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
4. Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
5. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
6. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred.
