Job description

Sales Representative - Northern Indiana
Are you someone who enjoys working with customers, building long-term relationships, and hitting your goals? Do you take pride in helping people find the right solutions and want to grow your career in sales?

At Kirby Risk, Sales Representatives are a key part of our team. You'll work closely with customers, support sales efforts, and help deliver a reliable, positive experience from start to finish. This is a solid opportunity to build a long-term career with a company that values hard work and teamwork.
What You will Do as a Sales Representative
In this key role, you'll help power our customers' success while executing effective sales strategies and ensuring an outstanding customer experience from start to finish.
You will:
  • Supporting sales goals and contributing to overall branch performance
  • Building and maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new ones
  • Participating in joint sales calls when needed
  • Preparing quotes and tracking opportunities in our CRM system
  • Processing orders and responding to customer requests
  • Monitoring back orders and helping ensure timely delivery
  • Identifying opportunities to educate customers on products and applications
  • Working with internal teams to make sure customer needs are met

What Makes You a Great Fit
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred
  • Previous sales experience preferred, especially in a B2B environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within the electrical distribution industry

What to Expect in This Role
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Monday-Friday (Typical Business Hours)
  • 50%+ of your time will be spent in the office/on the computer
  • Flexibility to participate in customer/vendor events
  • Some travel required 10-20%
