KidsCorp is seeking a Preschool Teacher for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
We are an Early Intervention Day Treatment (EIDT) facility and provide on-site Physical, Occupational, Speech and ABA Therapies as well as Developmental Education and Pre-K readiness. (KidsCorpdt.com)
This position has shift hours of Monday through Friday 7 am to 4 pm. No weekends or evenings!
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum for children in the classroom
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive and safe learning environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and other relevant information
Skills:
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle challenging situations in the classroom
- Experience in curriculum development and the ability to create engaging educational materials
- Excellent classroom management skills to maintain a positive and productive learning environment
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience in toddler care, preschool, or daycare settings, helping children with their ADLS.
- Proficiency in literacy education to promote language development and reading skills
- Understanding of childhood development stages and the ability to tailor instruction accordingly
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
