Job description

Financial Advisor Assistant Responsibilities


  • Client Support: Handling client inquiries via phone or email, providing first-level support, and escalating complex issues to the advisor.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Managing the advisor’s calendar, booking appointments, and coordinating meetings with clients, tax teams, and estate planners.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Preparing, organizing, and reviewing client financial documents, investment updates, and account paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Transaction Processing: Executing trades, processing deposits, withdrawals, and account transfers under advisor instructions while adhering to compliance regulations.
  • Operational Support: Maintaining client databases, managing multiple computer systems, and assisting with marketing efforts such as newsletters or seminar invitations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is the minimum; a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in financial services, banking, or customer-facing roles
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with financial planning software, investment terminology, and compliance regulations.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking, and client service skills are essential.
  • Credit/Security Check: The successful candidate must pass a criminal and credit check.
