IT/Facilities Specialist
Essential Duties
At KCI, our people are our greatest asset and we put a strong focus on providing the attention and development necessary to drive employee success. As the Junior IT Facilities Specialist, you will take the lead on addressing localized operational issues, implementing specialized solutions, and continuously improving operations and implementation solutions to bring impact throughout the full employee life cycle.
Responsibilities and essential job functions for this role include but are not limited to the following:
  • Site visits inclusive of full review of security measures in place as well as addressing of all consumable store operation elements. As an example: review and replacement of AC filters, access lock batteries, PC peripherals, Wi-Fi components, network infrastructure, FOH (front of house) equipment and fixtures, glazing review, as well other technical areas of concern.
  • Process and development of strategies to reduce time to resolutions.
  • Develop ongoing learning processes to identify skill gaps and development opportunities to support company operations.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and provide results or deficiencies in current production processes to aggregate evolution steps and succession.
  • Cooperate with field members in other stages to maintain store operational quotient.
  • Able to communicate effectively with others internally as well as with external business contacts.
  • Facilitate cooperation with diverse groups and departments to build organizational success.
  • Drive key performance metrics to append across all company directives.

Qualifications
  • Some IT generalist experience, general knowledge in IoT devices and platforms, and or network topology experience. Do you know how to connect network to terminal PC? Do you know what a paired connection Type B for Ethernet? Most of our experience is built with the job so any background that you have will be valuable.
  • Knowledge base in store operations and related wireless experience.
  • Preferred minimum 2 years' experience in retail industry in order to understand operational needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and project management skills related to prioritizing and executing timely deliverables within timeline, scope, and budget - MS basics to intermediate experience preferred - be prepared to provide certifications if provided as proof of skill.
  • Ability to understand business needs to drive buy-in among company leaders to enable transformation and advance strategic priorities while building rapport and fostering a collaborative working environment
  • Extensive experience in leading large scale, company-wide development and deployment of multi-department IT operations or deployment of new technologies.
  • Passionate about people development and have genuine interest in transforming employee experience at per store location and globally across the organization.
  • Travel required
  • Dependable transportation is a required.
