    Job description

    Location:

    4910 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn Ohio

    Location: Hybrid based out of Brooklyn OH or Amherst NY, requiring 2 days in-office each week, after training

    Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm ET

    The Litigation Senior Specialist will independently manage their assigned portfolio consisting of commercial accounts in different states of litigation (pre-litigation, post complaint filing, judgment). Litigation Senior Specialist will review the status of the accounts and determine best course of action going forward on account and assist in execution. The selected candidate will also be responsible for all system updates.

    Duties:

    • Understand the litigation process from start to finish for all applicable commercial accounts impacting KeyBank.

    • Review and understand litigation documents and pleadings filed in state court.

    • Update account status and routing in KeyBank's internal systems as it relates to the status of the litigation.

    • Review litigation files and how the litigation has treated KeyBank products

    • Make sound recommendations when reviewing the litigation filings or review with outside attorneys

    • Meet with management on process or issues that come up on accounts

    • Demonstrate ability to independently problem solve and offer constructive solutions to issues as they arise

    • Answer emails and inquiries in a timely fashion and offer sound responses to other lines of business or vendors that have questions about the accounts

    • Participate and help manage projects in support of KeyBank's internal initiatives

    • Prepare documentation as related to litigation account and the status it is in (i.e. provide information for filing of litigation case or provide information to attorney regarding payments made on judgment and whether a judgment lien should be released)

    • Administratively manage various projects and assignments for the litigation team or other lines of business

    • Interact with clients or attorneys and handle account maintenance

    • Maintain and review invoicing to ensure billing is accurate; update the system for billing by attorney vendors

    • Refer accounts to and speaking with vendor attorneys and answering any questions they may have regarding accounts

    • Other duties as assigned


    Experience/Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required

    • Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certification preferred

    • Minimum 2 years work experience in the following fields preferred: litigation, legal, probate and estate planning, bankruptcy legal support, mortgage servicing, or loss mitigation.

    • Strong PC skills with digital literacy in Office365, Excel, and Adobe

    • Availability to work overtime when necessary, including possible weekends

    • Detail oriented with ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/deadlines.

    • PACER/CM-ECF navigation experience preferred.

    • Knowledge of KeyBank internal systems: CACS, CAS, ALS, CLS, MSP, Hogan, TSYS, Tymetrix and/or ASF is a plus.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $20.67 - $31.25 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
