Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Providing individual counseling sessions via video chat to help clients improve their mental health.
• Encouraging clients to openly discuss their emotions and life experiences, promoting self-insight and stronger relationships.
• Acting as an advocate for your clients, assisting them in setting and achieving their personal goals.
• Evaluating clients' mental conditions and developing tailored treatment plans using a solution-focused approach.
• Regularly documenting client progress and adapting treatment methods as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you'll work with at Kessler Counseling Center are screened extensively to ensure they are suitable for remote counseling. You will be engaging with stable adults experiencing low acuity mental health issues, meaning that you can focus on delivering quality care without the challenges presented by severe cases. Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• A full, unrestricted license in New York to practice as either a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a sympathetic nature that allows you to connect with clients on a personal level.
• Proficiency in using technology for remote therapy sessions and electronic documentation.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, we prefer individuals who have:

• Experience in teletherapy or remote counseling.
• A background in working with adult populations suffering from mild to moderate mental health issues.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapy techniques and an understanding of various therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

You will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 104,000, commensurate with your experience and hours worked. Additional benefits include:
