Kennedy Donovan Center (KDC) is seeking a compassionate, dedicated individual to become a Shared Living Respite Caregiver. In this unique opportunity, you will accompany an adult with developmental or intellectual disabilities and provide a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, dignity, and community engagement.
About the Role
As a Shared Living Respite Caregiver, you will support individuals with daily living activities while fostering a safe, stable, and enriching environment. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to build a lasting relationship and make a direct impact on someone's quality of life.
Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment
  • Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, hygiene, and daily living skills
  • Support medical and personal care needs (as needed)
  • Facilitate community involvement, socialization, and recreational activities
  • Maintain documentation and communicate regularly with the KDC care team
  • Collaborate with case managers and clinical staff to support individual goals
Support
  • Ongoing training and 24/7 support from KDC staff
  • Access to clinical and case management guidance

Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to pass background checks (CORI/BRC, fingerprinting, etc.)
  • Experience in caregiving, human services, or a related field preferred-but not required
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach
