Full Time, Monday through Friday
Hybrid In-Office / In-Field / Remote
KenCrest is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Philanthropy Gift Officer to lead and grow philanthropy in support of our mission to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live full, independent, and meaningful lives.
The Philanthropy Gift Officer is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual donors capable of making annual leadership gifts, major and planned gifts in support of KenCrest's mission. Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, this position will work closely with KenCrest leadership to build meaningful, long-term relationships with donors while aligning donor priorities with organization needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional interested in nonprofit fundraising, donor engagement, and advancing opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Essential Functions:
  • Actively manage a portfolio of approximately 100-125 donor prospects.
  • Responsible for soliciting all types of philanthropic support for KenCrest: annual gifts, major gifts, multi-year gifts, event sponsorships, EITC support and planned gifts.
  • Conduct 8-10 meaningful donor visits each month, both in-person and virtually.
  • Prepare gift proposals, presentations, and personalized donor correspondence.
  • Partner with leadership, program staff, and board members in donor cultivation and solicitation.
  • Accurately track prospect cultivation and donor contact reports within the CRM to ensure timely follow-up after meetings and grow stewardship.
  • Assist in developing planned giving marketing materials and donor education initiatives.
  • Support Philanthropy team efforts to acknowledge donors in meaningful ways.
  • Partner with Philanthropy, Marketing & Communications, and Faith Engagement team members to ensure consistent, inclusive, and multi-channel relationship-building stewardship.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 - 5 years' of progressively responsible fundraising, sales, business development, or relationship management experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Experience using donor databases or CRM systems
