Job description

KVC Missouri Residential - Niles Location

Kansas City, MO Pay: $18.00-$21.65 per hour Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 3:30PM - 12:00AM

Job Summary

As a Mental/Behavioral Health Technician (BHT), you will provide for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to your cottage and facilitate a healthy group living experience. You will also participate in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients. This position is a great start to gain experience in the mental health/social services fields!

Responsibilities

Provide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including:

  • Providing meals and snacks
  • Assisting with personal care
  • Monitoring medication
  • Intervening in crisis situations

Facilitate a healthy group living experience, including:

  • Creating a positive and supportive environment
  • Managing conflict
  • Enforcing house rules
  • Attending treatment team meetings
  • Providing input on treatment plans
  • Implementing treatment plans
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Class E driver's license with good driving record
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Excellent time management
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Word, Excel, and e-mail applications proficiency
  • Must be 21 years old to apply
  • Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required
