Are you passionate about creating exceptional food experiences? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on culinary excellence? If so, we want you to join our team at Walters Wedding Estates, a premier venue under the Walters Hospitality brand. We're seeking dedicated, hardworking individuals to join our kitchen staff as Prep Cooks.
At Walters Wedding Estates, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional culinary experiences for our clients, and we need individuals who share that commitment. If you have a strong work ethic, enjoy learning new things, and can handle constructive feedback, you might be a perfect fit for our team!
What You'll Do:
  • Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking process, following recipes and kitchen standards.
  • Plate and present food beautifully, adhering to presentation guidelines.
  • Assist with food service during events, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment, following all sanitation and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent, culinary degree preferred
  • Required Experience: 1-2 years of successful culinary experience
  • Certifications: Serve Safe Food Handlers
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift 30 lbs frequently, stand/walk 8-12 hours
  • Other:
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States; Walters Hospitality participates in E-Verify.
    • Submit/complete background check; have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation & Schedule:
  • Part-Time: Weekends and Evenings when events take place
    • Must be available and willing to work weekends, holidays, late nights
  • Hourly: $14 - $16 per hour, based on experience
  • 401k with 4% Match
