Role Description The Financial Assistant internship is an on-site role based in Fort Myers, FL. The intern will support day-to-day financial operations, including preparing and processing invoices, assisting with basic accounting entries, and helping maintain accurate financial records. Responsibilities include gathering and organizing financial data, supporting routine analyses and reports, and communicating with team members regarding documentation or discrepancies. The Financial Assistant will also assist with client-related administrative tasks, such as scheduling, preparing materials for meetings, and maintaining confidential files, while learning the fundamentals of finance and wealth management in a professional environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to review financial data, identify trends, and support basic financial reporting.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Microsoft Suite.
  • Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Finance to understand core concepts in budgeting, investments, and personal wealth management.
  • Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with colleagues and interact with clients when needed.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, integrity in handling confidential information, proficiency with spreadsheets and financial software, and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
